Spoken English, Public Speaking & Personality Development

The SEAL Academy is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) which is an international standard to describe language ability in speaking. There are six CEFR levels:

Level
CEFR Level A1 Beginner

Basic users of English who can understand and use basic everyday expressions.

 700-800 words
CEFR Level A2 Pre-intermediate

Speakers of English who can communicate in a simple manner.

 1500-2000 words
CEFR Level B1 Intermediate

Speakers of English who can communicate their opinions and give simple descriptions.

 2500-3000 words
CEFR Level B2 Upper-Intermediate

Speakers of English who can communicate spontaneously and fluently in familiar situations.

 4000 words
CEFR Level C1 Advanced

Speakers of English who can communicate spontaneously and fluently in all situations. They can use language flexibly

 8000 words
CEFR Level C2 Mastery

Speakers of English who can understand and communicate with complete ease.

 16000 words and above

Mastering English is not an easy task especially when your mother tongue isn’t English. Here at IAA, our classes are tailored to empower each learner into an effective and confident communicator. The sessions are structured to break communication barriers enabling the learners to articulate their ideas with precision, pursue their goals with confidence and build a meaningful network.After conducting an initial assessment, we establish specific goals for each learner based on the CEFRL levels and implement a personalized program tailored to their needs. We keep our groups small to ensure individual attention while still promoting interaction.

Phonics Classes

Spoken English Class at SEAL Academy

Phonics help children in the age group of 3 to 7 develop a strong foundation in reading by teaching them the connection between written letters and spoken sounds. Our meticulously designed phonics classes equip children with the essential skills to become confident readers. Through engaging activities, children learn the connections between letters and their sounds. This gives them the ability to decode unfamiliar words and deepens their understanding of the written language - spellings.

Master Your Grammar

Our targeted grammar classes support students in developing their English grammar based on core concepts from the NCERT syllabus. Concepts in grammar are comprehensively covered, aiding kids to pull off a high score in their exams. Our interactive approach goes beyond rote memorization, providing students with ample opportunities for practice and self-assessment.

Story-telling Sessions

Our captivating story-telling sessions for preschoolers and early readers unlock a world of wonder, imagination and learning. Listening to engaging narratives stimulates critical thinking and cognitive development in young children. It helps them to build emotional intelligence, and also facilitates them to form connections in the story-line, solve problems and learn new ideas and concepts in a joyful manner. We host storytelling sessions for small groups at our bookstore. These sessions are aimed at helping the kids explore the enchanting world of books while refining their language skills and expanding their vocabulary. These sessions require prior registration, with a minimum of 3 children per session.

Creative Writing Workshop

Creative writing is the art of using language to craft one’s imagination into a story, poem or any form of expressive writing. This art hones one’s ability to express clearly and effectively. We help writers understand the nuances of writing, weaving their imagination with technical skills, to choose powerful words, structure sentences in a captivating way, creating stories that transport the readers to a world imagined by the writer. Creative Writing Workshops and Webinars are conducted for all age groups.
